Co-surfactant effect of polyethylene glycol 400 on microemulsion using BCS class II model drug

نویسندگان

چکیده

Microemulsions are an intriguing method for delivering poorly soluble drugs, protecting labile controlling drug release, and increasing bioavailability. They can be given topically, orally, or intravenously, use polyethylene glycol (PEG-400) as a co-surfactant to improve the solubility stability of biological classification system (BCS) class II drugs. The goal this research is develop test oil-in-water (O/W) microemulsion-based formulation solubil

Stability of Trinitroglycerin in Polyethylene Glycol 400

In this study, the stability of trinitroglycerin (TNG) in polyethylene (PEG) 400 was investigated according to Arrhenius approach. The reaction rate constant (k) for the thermal disintegration of TNG in PEG 400 at various temperatures was counted based on the percents of remaining TNG at different intervals of time at a specific temperature. The results showed that “k” at 40, 50, 60, 70, 8...

Formation of CdS Nanoparticles in Microemulsion Using Different Co-surfactant and Water to Surfactant Molar Ratio

Cadmium Sulphide (CdS) nanoparticles were prepared using microemulsion method using cadmium chloride as cadmium source and sodium sulphide as sulphur source. The obtained nanoparticles structures were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) whereas optical characterization was done by Ultra Violet-Visible absorption. XRD result shows that CdS nanopart...

Magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles, Polyethylene glycol, Surfactant, Superparamagnetic, Chemical co-precipitation

In this study, magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4) with the size range of 20-30 nm were prepared by the modified controlled chemical co-precipitation method from the solution of ferrous/ferric mixed salt-solution in alkaline medium. In this process polyethylene glycol was used as a surfactant to prevent the solution from agglomeration. The prepared magnetic nanoparticles were characterize...
